Leadership Development

Superintendent Academy

The Superintendent Academy combines cohort-based learning with personalized executive coaching and exposure to schools and leaders doing exceptional work. Through multiple in-person learning experiences, an immersive school visit, and one-on-one coaching, participants step back from daily demands and invest deliberately in their own growth as a leader.

The Premise

The superintendency can’t be learned from a textbook.

It is learned through experience, relationships, reflection, and exposure to leaders and organizations doing exceptional work.

The Superintendent Academy is built around that belief. Rather than lecture-style training, participants learn through cohort discussion, real-world school visits, and individualized coaching, all grounded in the actual work of leading a school system. It is designed for superintendents who want more than information. It is designed for superintendents who want to grow.

The School Visit

See exceptional leadership in action.

Each cohort travels together for an immersive visit to a school or organization recognized for exceptional work. Participants see innovative practices firsthand, engage directly with the leaders responsible for them, and return with real, applicable ideas rather than theory. It is one of the most valued parts of the Academy experience, and one of the things that sets it apart from a typical professional development program.

Growing as a leader takes intention. The Academy makes room for it.

Let’s talk about whether the Academy is the right fit for you.
